Under the Central Station arches, it has a strong programme of two or
three modern plays every month, produced by the Arches Theatre Company
as well as by visiting groups.

Home of the world famous Citizens' Company, the theatre presents a stylish
and diverse programme in its Gorbals home. Known locally as the people's
theatre, ticket prices are fixed and exceptionally low. A cultural must
for any visitor.

Once the main concert hall in Glasgow, it continues with orchestral
and choral events, as well as being the scene of the celebrations of

A classic Edwardian interior in this major city-owned theatre. Used
mostly by touring productions, but with spring and autumn amateur seasons
for anything from Gilbert and Sullivan to American musicals.

Visiting ballet companies, professional and amateur opera, music and
comedy shows, pop and country music follow one another in this busy
county town theatre.

6633. Opened in 1990, and state of the art in equipment, it represents
the largest item in the citys recent huge investment in the arts.
The main auditorium seats almost 2500. As well as full-scale orchestral
concerts, it also caters for jazz, pop, blues and country.
