Sarting (and finishing) the year Scotland's calendar begins with the Hogmanay celebrations on 31st December, and many events around 25th January. Robert Burns’s birthday. The pantomine season is in full swing. Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall has a busy musical programme, and the city’s Kelvin Hall plays host to indoor athletics competitions.
