The
haggis, so long associated with Scotland, may not have done much for
the image of the countrys cuisine. Sheeps heart and liver
mixed with oatmeal and suet, sewn into a sheeps stomach to be
boiled, all hardly get the taste buds going. Despite the fact that it
is a tasty dish, most visitors will content themselves with a vast range
of menus ranging from some of the finest dishes in Europe, to cheerful,
value for money cuisine. Taste of Scotland information is available
from the local Tourist Information Office. Listed below is a selection
of the region's restaurants, many different and unique.
